A parent cooperative offering a warm, friendly atmosphere where children develop independence, experience success and grow in their love of learning.Our PhilosophyLittle 't' Preschool was created in 1972 by a small group of parents who realized the need for a parent involved preschool in the Berthoud, CO community. The preschool's mission has always been:
Through a wide variety of age-appropriate experiences and hands-on activities, children are challenged to develop and strengthen their motor, cognitive, language, social/emotional and creative skills. Parents are always welcome in the classroom and take an active role in the program. Little 't' provides a warm, friendly, inviting atmosphere for children. The developmentally appropriate curriculum along with the qualified teachers work together to promote cognitive, creative, emotional, physical and social growth for all children. 
Director Mary Jo PhippsMary Jo is both director and lead teacher at Little "t" Preschool. She has 10 years of director experience and 13 years of early childhood teaching. She received an Associate degree in Applied Science from Northeastern Junior College in 1987, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Assistant Teacher Belinda SissonBelinda Sisson is the assistant teacher at Little “t” Preschool. She has 17 years of hands-on experience in working with children ages 0 to 17 years. She has owned and operated a dance studio, coordinated and directed preschool music and movement classes, and is currently a day care provider and homemaker. She is currently working on furthering her education in child development to become pre-school and director qualified. Parent ParticipationBecause Little 't' is a parent cooperative preschool, parents assist the teacher in the classroom as well as volunteer in other aspects of the schools operation. Parents provide snack on a rotating schedule, get involved with fund raisers, serve on our board and organization committees, and much, much more. Our school is located in the lower level of the Berthoud United Methodist Church on the corner of 9th and Lake streets in Berthoud. Our classroom includes several interactive learning areas including arts, science, a computer kiosk, a pretend kitchen, a circle area, and a library/reading space. We also have a fenced outdoor play area with a jungle gym, sandbox, and a trike-track and bikes (helmets too)! How to EnrollOpen registration for the Little "t" program takes place in the spring of each year for the following fall. As space allows, registrations continue throughout the year.
