Experience Berthoud--(pronounced Birth'-ud)

March 27th, 2018 by Deanne Mulvihill

We had an amazing first Experience Berthoud event on February 27. Thank you to those of you that believed in this event and made reservations early so you were able to attend. The turn out was great and the presentations gave everyone something to take away. Our goal is to host this event two times a year because we know there is a lot to learn about Berthoud, whether you just moved here or have been here for years. If you would like to join us, send an email (at bcc@berthoudcolorado.com) to let us know if you would like to attend, what you would like to learn or where in Berthoud you would like visit and we will get that information on the list.  We are planning the next Experience Berthoud for September 20.  You can also call our office at 970-532-4200 if you have any questions.

Why Join a Chamber of Commerce

December 23rd, 2015 by Deanne Mulvihill

Chamber Office

Why Join our Chamber of Commerce?

Each year as we finish one year and begin the next, I get more people asking me, "Why join the chamber of commerce?" Here are some reasons:

Chambers conduct social and business events where you can socialize and develop relationships. Becoming a member of a chamber of commerce provides opportunities to give back to the community and capitalize on significant member benefits; serving in the leadership (being an Ambassador, board member, or sitting on one of our committees) raises your recognition, visibility and credibility, as well as that of your business.

When your company joins the Chamber, all of your employees gain access to our extensive network of businesses and professionals found throughout our chamber network.

Connect & Grow
Networking Opportunities – At least 54 events each year designed to help build your business garner new clients and find out what’s happening in our community. Join our chamber member partners and watch your business grow.

Business Exposure is one of the top reasons members say they find value in their chamber investment. There’s no shortage of opportunities for maximum exposure as part of the chamber.

Save
Membership has its privileges. You can save in a variety of areas from health insurance to advertising thanks to your partnership with the chamber.

Learn
Seminars designed just for you – Want to learn how to market your business? What’s happening in our community that impacts your business? How to maximize your social media? The chamber offers a number of seminars and programs designed to help you be successful.

BECOME A MEMBER
Membership is not free, but it’s far less expensive than traditional advertising.

If you'd like to become a member of the Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce, you can download the membership packet and application on the front page of our website: www.BerthoudColorado.com. Or, call us at 970-532-4200.

Volunteering in your own community

July 7th, 2015 by Deanne Mulvihill

Volunteering is a beautiful thing!
Community first; powered by the Chamber of Commerce;

We are looking for some great volunteers who love getting out and working with friends, neighbors and business owners to bring our community events to life!

Oktoberfest is coming October 3rd to Fickel Park and we are looking for residents that have the time to help set up for this wonderful traditional event. These events enhance our town and bring people in from around the area to shop, eat and spend money which helps our community thrive! This is an event everyone enjoys whether you are old, young or a family. Your volunteering would be most appreciated and valued. It is great fun and you get to meet and see many Berthoud residents you don’t see very often!

Who better to put on a great community event than the people who live here!

This is a wonderful spirit of community coming together to celebrate Berthoud with local residents, students and businesses, our heartfelt thanks to all.

Please contact us if you would like to Volunteer

61st Annual Berthoud Day

May 12th, 2015 by Deanne Mulvihill

Berthoud Day 2014a Crowd (3)

Traditions are very important. They help us remember where we've been and how things have changed. From what I've been told since I didn't live in Berthoud 61 years ago, they used to be able to wrestle pigs in the mud. OK, that is one tradition I'm not even interested in bringing back.

We have kept several traditions and one is the old fashioned Base Ball game. That is where they play with no mitts and use a larger ball. That will be at 1 p.m. at the Ivy Stockwell school grounds. It's free to come and watch. They even provide bales of hay for your "stadium seating."

The day begins with the boy scout fundraiser pancake breakfast from 6:30 - 11 a.m. at the Depot in Railroad Park. It is all you can eat at $7 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under.

Berthoud Habitat for Humanity will have their 5K run that begins at Fickel Park at 8 am. You will need to sign up in advance at www.BerthudHabitat.org/Race.
There is also a free 1K for the kids.

Our well-known Berthoud Day parade begins at 11 a.m. If you are interested, we ask that you fill out a registration form which can be found on our website at www.BerthoudColorado.com; News & Events; Berthoud Day. It starts on 2nd Street and goes west down Mountain Ave. to 8th Street and turns north. This is definitely one of those traditions I mentioned earlier. It's a great parade.

At Town Park the rest of the festivities begin after the parade. We have lots of vendors for kids through adults. (We still have room for more vendors.) The Berthoud Community Fire District will be having free drawings for a boy's BMX bike and a girl's bike. They will also have a "helmet blitz" where they are giving away bike helmets.

Our bands this year are as follows:
12:30 - 1:30 p.m. 101st Army Dixieland Band
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. local talent on our Community Stage
2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Woody Procell & the Snowy River Band (Country)
3:45 - 4:15 p.m. local talent on our Community Stage
4:15 - 5:30 Woody Process & the Snowy Rive Band
5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Berthoud's Got Talent on the Community Stage
6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Steve Thomas Band (80s Cover Band)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call at the chamber office 970-532-4200. We hope to see you there.

Free Admission.

Membership in the Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce offers numerous benefits. At only $195/year we are an affordable Chamber.

Here are the top 10 reasons why you should join:
1) Membership brings credibility to your business.
2) Increases your visibility in the community.
3) Creates networking opportunities.
4) Gain a voice in government.
5) Make business contacts.
6) Receive chamber newsletters.
7) Acquire customer referrals.
8) Chamber events and programs.
9) Promotion and publicity.
10) Access to members-only discounts and services.

*Research points out that consumers are more likely to do business with a company if it’s a member of their local chamber of commerce.

*People like to do business with companies they know, like and trust, but that trust must be earned. You can shorten this time to establish your image and reputation in the community by joining the chamber.

Keep in mind, however, that you can’t just be a member of our chamber to reap the benefits of chamber membership. Paying your annual dues just isn’t enough. You must also make an investment of time and effort in our chamber activities and become involved. Simply put, what you get out of the chamber membership, is directly relative to what you put in.

Download our membership form from our website or contact us for an appointment. We welcome the opportunity to visit with you.
